Losing Taste Buds after Smoking

I’m an occasional dry herb smoker...been smoking a couple of times a month for the last several years.
I’ve always used a glass pipe but wanted to switch over to a dry herb vape. Purchased the Yocane Vane and absolutely love it. I don’t cough when smoking and no smell!
There’s only one issue - every time I use it I lose all my taste approx 10 min after smoking! I looked it up and saw Vapor’s Tongue, but this seems to apply to people who smoke all the time and use carts. I found the best smoke was at 430• so not sure if this temp is causing it.
What can I do? I really want to keep using the vapor but the best part of me smoking is enjoying snacks and this completely ruins it. Someone suggested this vape might have offgassing chemicals since this doesn't sound normal. Help please!
