Yocan Lux 2.0 vs. Yocan Lux – What's Actually Changed?

Post by Rhea »

Just got my hands on the Yocan Lux 2.0 and figured I'd break down the real differences for anyone wondering if it's worth the upgrade. Spoiler: it's more than just a facelift.

Display – The Biggest Visual Upgrade
The most obvious change is the new OLED screen. The original Lux had no display at all – you were basically guessing your voltage and battery life. Now you get real-time readings for:
  • Voltage
  • Battery level
  • Puff count
  • Atomizer resistance
This alone makes the experience way more transparent. No more blind adjustments.

Voltage Control – More Precision
Both models have the top dial, but the Lux 2.0 takes it further. The dial is still there for quick adjustments, but now you can also fine-tune in 0.1V increments using the button. Original Lux only had preset voltage levels – you couldn't dial in your exact sweet spot. This is a big one for flavor chasers who like to experiment with different concentrates.

Build Quality – Premium Feel
The original Lux was functional but nothing special in the hand. The Lux 2.0 upgrades to a stainless steel body – better corrosion resistance, more drop protection, and just feels more solid overall. It's noticeably heavier in a good way.

Puff Counter Reset
On the original, the puff counter wasn't really a thing you interacted with. On the Lux 2.0, if you want to reset the count, just click the power button 3 times. Simple.

Bottom Line
If you're coming from the original Lux, the 2.0 is a meaningful step up – the display alone changes how you use the device, and the finer voltage control opens up more customization. If you're new to the Lux line, skip the original and go straight for this one.
