Yocan Pocket Mini - Didn't Expect the Smaller One to Hit This Well
I finally got some time with the Yocan Pocket Mini, and honestly, I went into it thinking it was basically just going to be a smaller version of the regular Pocket.
It kind of is, but after actually using it, there are a few differences that stood out more than I expected.
First thing I noticed was the size. It’s not dramatically smaller than the regular Pocket, but once you have both in your hand, the Mini definitely feels more compact and easier to carry around. It still has enough weight to it that it doesn’t feel cheap or toy-like.
Loading it is pretty simple too. The top section comes off and gives you easy access to the chamber, which I actually prefer. There’s plenty of room to get your concentrate in without fighting with the device.
My first hit was without a terp pearl because I completely forgot to put one in.
Even without it, the vapor was solid.
After the hit, there was a little puddle left in the chamber, but it cleaned up really easily with a Q-tip. Nothing complicated there.
Then I added one of the included terp pearls, and that’s where things got more interesting.
You can really hear the pearl moving around inside, and I could actually feel it spinning while taking a hit. That was probably the biggest surprise for me.
I’ve used the regular Pocket before, and with that one I could hear the pearl moving, but with the Pocket Mini the spinning felt much more obvious. The airflow just seemed to get it moving really well.
I actually loaded another small hit just because I wanted to try it again.
Same thing.
You could hear the pearl spinning around the chamber, and the hit came out nice and consistent.
That alone made me like the Mini more than I expected.
A few other things I liked: the temperature can be adjusted, it charges through USB-C, the screen is easy to read, and the chamber is pretty easy to clean after a session.
I’d probably still give the mouthpiece and chamber a quick wipe with isopropyl alcohol before using a brand-new one, just like I do with most new devices.
So far, the **Yocan Pocket Mini** feels less like “the Pocket, but smaller” and more like a slightly different version that happens to be more compact.
The size is nice, but the terp pearl movement and airflow are what really sold me on it.
After the first few hits, I actually think I prefer using the Mini over the regular Pocket.
Didn’t really expect that going in.
