Yocan Black Pocket Mini Review: Auto-Spin Pearl, Under $70

Post by rogervape »

TableTop Bong ran the Yocan Black Pocket Mini through a hash rosin session, and the short version is that this is the pocketable, cheap-and-cheerful end of the concentrate-pen aisle. Yocan built it around a 1,300 mAh battery, an OLED screen, and the Cloud 2.1 chamber with an auto-spinning terp pearl — all for about $69.90. It's a follow-up to the Yocan Pocket, shrunk down and priced for light users who just want a decent hit without a big rig.

Specs and what's in the box

1,300 mAh (roughly a dozen sessions per charge), OLED display, temperature adjustable in 5-degree steps, Cloud 2.1 chamber (stainless steel and ceramic bucket, 3D heating), a removable ceramic-lined lid, and quartz terp pearls in the box. Also included: charging cable, four Q-tips, a dab loading tool, the glass beads, and a quick-start card. Pick it up in black, white, blue, pink, or purple.

How it works

Five taps powers it on, double-tap starts the heating cycle, and the OLED walks you through it. Draw through the mouthpiece and a cutout in the lid pulls air across the chamber, spinning the terp pearl for you — no twirling, no fuss. Lee ran a 30-second session on hash rosin at a slightly lower temp; no shortage of vapor, and the flavor came through good.

Cleaning is the standout

The lid has a ceramic-lined insert that fully pops out, so you just swab it with a cotton swab while it's warm (or iso on a swab once it cools). He calls this out specifically: a straight silicone lid gets gunky and starts hurting flavor, but the ceramic insert keeps cleanup to seconds. Not much reclaim ends up floating around the chamber either.

What it doesn't do

At this price you don't get a real-time chamber temp sensor, so the heat climbs a touch through a 30-second session — it ends a little warmer than it starts. It's 5-degree steps, not single-degree, which he actually prefers. Flavor won't match a $500 e-rig, and it's not meant to be your main rig.

Verdict

This Yocan black pocket mini is for the light concentrate user who wants something dead simple that doesn't break the bank, or the experienced vaper who wants a grab-and-go unit. Manage expectations on flavor and you'll be happy; expect flagship e-rig performance and you'll be disappointed. For under $70, it does what it says.
