Yocan Uni 4.0 vs. Yocan Uni 3.0
Been looking at 510-thread batteries lately, and the Yocan Uni 3.0 and Yocan Uni 4.0 both keep coming up. They're close in price, but there are some real differences worth knowing before you buy.
Both run a 650mAh battery, 1.8V–4.2V voltage range, 15-second safety cutoff, and USB-C charging that takes about an hour to full.

Size
- UNI Uni 3.0: 42mm wide, feels a bit chunky in hand.
- UNI Uni 4.0: 28mm wide, noticeably slimmer and easier to pocket.
Screen
- Uni 3.0: 1.93-inch animated HD display with three UI options. Fun and customizable.
- Uni 4.0: Smaller 1.26-inch TFT screen, cleaner interface. Shows voltage, puff count, preheat countdown, and battery level. Screen sleeps after 10 seconds to save power.
Cartridge Compatibility
- Uni 3.0: Fits 11–16mm diameter carts.
- Uni 4.0: Fits 8–14mm, so it handles slimmer carts the Uni 3.0 can't.
Voltage Adjustment
- Uni 3.0: Adjust with +/− buttons.
- Uni 4.0: Adjusts in 0.1V increments across 1.8V–4.2V. Hold +/− for faster scrolling.
Preheat
- Both: double-click power for a 10-second preheat at 1.8V.
- Uni 4.0: Shows a countdown on screen, and you can double-click again to stop early.
Charging
- Uni 4.0: Vaping and preheat are disabled while charging, but you can still adjust voltage and reset puff count. Screen turns off at 4.15V, fully charged at 4.2V.
- Uni 3.0: Battery indicator light only, turns off when full. No fast charging.
Extra Features
- Uni 4.0: Hold power + "−" to quickly reset puff count. Auto screen sleep.
- Uni 3.0: Triple-click power to enter UI menu, pick from three modes. Not available on the Uni 4.0.
Which One?
Go UNI Uni 4.0 if: you use 8–14mm carts, want a slimmer device, prefer precise 0.1V adjustment, and like the preheat countdown and quick puff reset.
Go UNI Uni 3.0 if: you want the bigger animated screen, three UI modes, and your carts are 11–16mm.
Bottom line: the Uni 4.0 isn't a full redesign. It's a slimmer, more precise, more streamlined version of the Uni 3.0. The Uni 3.0 wins on screen size and customization. Pick based on whether you value portability or playability more.
