US Customs Seizes Hundreds of Tons of E-Cigarettes in LA

On June 15th, 2FIRSTS learned the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP)has seized several hundred tons of e-cigarette products so far.The investigation is ongoing for 4 days which aim to find whether there is tax evasion or fraudulent reporting and if the declared goods match the actual cargo.
It is reported that Los Angeles is a preferred location for shipping companies to reduce costs for e-cigarette transport across the United States due to its favorable transportation fees and centralized location.
According to the source, "In the recent week no e-cigarettes from the gray market were able to enter Los Angeles."
