Yocan Magneto battery broken - How to troubleshooting?

So I've been using my Magneto for approx. 3 weeks now and up until recently had no issues, however, about halfway through the day (after having already been using it without problems) the "in use" light suddenly just stuck on and won't turn off. The coil isn't heating so at least it's not constantly burning or anything, but the coil also CAN'T heat now whether I press the button or not since the light is always on. I can't turn the Magneto off with the 5 rapid presses so literally the only way to get the light to go off is to let the battery die out over the course of a couple days. I've already tried once to let the battery die and then recharge it (which is the only proposed solution I could find from my searches) but the problem stays. Maybe I'm just dumb, but any suggestions would be appreciated.
