Dope As Yola Tries the Yocan Pocket Mini
Dope As Yola recently tried the **Yocan Pocket Mini**, and one of the first things that stood out to him was just how small it actually is.
“Pocket Mini” definitely fits the name. The device is extremely compact, but it still packs in features you’d normally expect from a larger e-rig.
The Pocket Mini uses a ceramic chamber and offers temperature control from **400°F to 580°F**. Dope set his around **470°F** for the first session and also pointed out that the small OLED screen lets you see and adjust the temperature directly.
Another thing he liked was being able to change the session time. After his first hit, he increased it to around 50 seconds to get a little more out of the dab. If you want to stop a session early, you can simply double-click the button and return to the main screen.
He also compared the experience to using “a little e-rig without the water,” which is probably a pretty accurate way to describe it.
One of the nicer surprises was that the Pocket Mini comes with tiny terp pearls in the box. After dropping one into the ceramic chamber, he noticed that even a fairly large dab could fit comfortably inside.
But the part he seemed most impressed by was the mouthpiece design.
Unlike some compact devices where your mouth sits very close to the heated chamber, the Pocket Mini leaves a noticeable amount of space between the heat source and the mouthpiece.
That extra distance made a real difference.
His first reaction after hitting it was that the vapor was **“a lot smoother than expected.”** He also pointed out that the draw itself didn’t feel hot.
After looking more closely at the chamber, he basically came to the conclusion that the deeper design and extra distance from the heating area were the reason the vapor stayed cooler.
The device also has a hit counter on the screen, which he noticed during the session, plus a boost function for extending or restarting the heat cycle when there’s still material left in the chamber.
Overall, the Pocket Mini seems to hit a pretty nice middle ground.
It’s tiny enough to actually feel portable, but you still get adjustable temperature, session timing, an OLED screen, terp pearls, a ceramic chamber and enough separation from the heat to keep the draw from feeling harsh.
Dope As Yola’s biggest takeaway seemed pretty simple: for something this small, the hit was smoother and cooler than he expected.
